Bhediya 2 has been renewed

Jio Studios has officially announced the renewal of the Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon-starrer Bhediya, which will be released in 2025. On Wednesday, April 12, the lead actor of Bhediya 2 made the announcement at an event in Mumbai.  Recently, the actor appeared in a rap song at the event, and as soon as he wrapped up his performance, the title logo of Bhediya 2 came out on the screen behind him.

The performer from Jug Jug Jeeyo made a stunning appearance on stage, as documented in a widely shared video. Subsequently, he delivered a concise portrayal and shared news about the upcoming release of Bhediya 2. This information was also disclosed in a captivating video, mentioning that Bhediya 2 is slated to be released in theaters in 2025.

About: Bhediya 

The story is about Bhaskar and his cousin Jana who visit a small town in Arunachal Pradesh as part of a development project. Bhaskar is bitten by a wolf and starts experiencing strange changes like communicating with animals and having a heightened sense of smell and hearing. The local people and tribals are against the idea of cutting down trees to construct roads, but Bhaskar manages to get the support of the youth. 

Two men who were a part of the project are found dead, and Panda suggests a shape-shifting werewolf is behind the killings. Jana suspects Bhaskar of being the werewolf and conducts a stool test, revealing Bhaskar is indeed the one behind the killings. 

The only way to treat Bhaskar’s condition is for them to receive a bite from the same wolf once more. Dr. Anika, who is also a shape-shifter, reveals herself to be the wolf who had bitten Bhaskar. She advises him to not fall prey to deforestation and its rewards. Bhaskar decides to work on constructing the roads around the borders of the forest, leaving the trees unharmed.

Bhediya was mainly a part of Dinesh Vijen’s horror-comedy universe, which also included Stree. Before Bhediya 2, the makers declared the release date of Stree 2 in an entertaining way. While the release date of Stree 2 has been announced, the release date of Bhediya 2 is still under wraps. 

The first installment of Bhediya was about a man who turned into a werewolf after being bitten by a creature. Along with the two leads, Deepak Dobriyal, Paalin Kabak, and Abhishek Banerjee made up the star cast of the Amar Kaushik-directed film.

 Interestingly, Varun Dhawan came on stage and performed the rap song, which was also a part of the first part. Once the rap ended, the title logo of the sequel was shown on the screen behind it. 

Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films support the horror comedy universe that Bhediya is a part of. The plot of Bhediya, which also starred Kriti Sanon, involved a man who, after receiving a bite from a wild animal, transforms into a wolf.

Bhediya OTT Release Date 

Bhediya is all set to be released on the OTT platform. It is going to be released on Jio Cinema Those who want to watch this Horror-Comedy film at home can watch it with a Jio Cinema subscription. According to some reports, the film’s satellite rights have been brought by Colors Cineplex. 

Bhediya is still streaming in theatres across the country. As we all know that after a movie got released in theatres, it takes almost 1.5 to 2 months to get it released on the OTT platform but this also varies according to the performance of the movie.  

The official Bhediya OTT release date has still not been officially announced. This movie has become exceptional because till now movie was not released on the OTT platform after 4 months of the movie being released in theatres. It is expected that it is going to be released in the coming month i.e. on the 21st of April 2023.
