Leandro Paredes is set to return to PSG at the end of the season, after his loan spell at Juventus expires. The midfielder signed for the Italian side in the summer with an option to buy, but it won’t be triggered since he hasn’t convinced the coach or the board with his performances.
The plan for him is to return to Paris, and a decision on his future will be made thereafter.
Leandro Paredes to return to PSG at the end of the season
The likes of Manuel Locatelli, Niccolo Fagioli and the in-form Adrien Rabiot have been preferred by Max Allegri in midfield over the Argentine.
He was recently involved in an argument with the head coach over his lack of minutes. The incident went down on Monday after the training session, and he refused to go to lunch with the rest of the team afterwards.
The Argentine has only played 615 minutes in the league, and has been used very sparingly in other competitions as well. With PSG bolstering their midfield last summer, it seems unlikely that he could still fit in. Leandro Paredes has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid in the summer, given his contract with PSG runs out in 2024.
And given that the French side are going in a different direction right now, it seems almost certain that he will be moving on this summer.
