Real Madrid‘s earnings following their 2022 Champions League win have been revealed. The Spanish giants defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the final to win their 14th title, the same way as their 13th title in 2018.
Madrid had also won the La Liga title last season, making it a prestigious double for the club. They earned a total of €133.7 million for their victorious campaign last season.

The final payment includes their performance in the group stage, knockout stages, bonuses bases on performances and results as well as Spanish broadcasting revenues. The club also received a payment based on their historical records in UEFA competitions, which is unparalleled.
Runners-up Liverpool earned €110 million, while Bayern Munich were paid €110 million for making it to the quarter finals. On the other hand, Manchester City were paid €109 million despite making it to the semi-finals.
On an average, the group stage clubs were paid €61.8 million. The lowest payment was given out to Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol, at €23.7 million.
This season, Real Madrid will face Chelsea again in the quarter finals. The Blues earned a figure of €91.9 million last season, and are once again the underdogs heading into the last eight of Europe’s top flight.
