Only a few days have passed since the last episode aired, and Bella Ramsey has spoken to The Independent about the date on which the second season is scheduled to start filming. The protagonist, Ellie, has detailed when filming will begin: “I think we’ll probably shoot between the end of this year and the beginning of next year”.
The release date of the series The Last of Us is not sure but it is presumed and Ramsey has also expressed her opinion regarding the release date. She said, “It will probably be at the end of 2024 or early 2025”.
The news regarding the series The Last of Us was not known to anyone as no information was shared by either HBO Max or any other director. although Pedro Pascal already speculated these same dates in a statement in Collider.
If so, these happen fans would have to wait about two years between one season and another. The only thing that we know about the next episode is that it will be based on the second video game, i.e. ‘The Last of Us II’, whose fans claim that it is darker, more complex, and longer. In fact, the creators of the series, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, pointed out that it will take more than one season to cover all the events that take place in the game.
