Stanislav Lobotka has officially signed a new contract with Napoli that has extended his stay until 2027. There is an option for another year included in the contract which can be triggered later on.
The midfielder has been absolutely vital to Napoli’s success this season both domestically and in Europe. The Azzurri are en route to the quarter finals of the Champions League, and only need to eliminate Eintracht Frankfurt to do so. Moreover, they are also on their way to winning the Scudetto for only the third time in their history with an 18-point lead at the top.
Stanislav Lobotka renews contract with Napoli for two more years
The Slovak has established himself as a regular under Luciano Spalletti, after struggling for game time under Gennaro Gattuso. His contributions have not gone unnoticed, even though he is very related in comparison to the other players who play a similar role for bigger clubs.
“The team’s personality emerged. We already knew Spalletti, but we’ve understood his playing style even more,” Stanislav Lobotka recently said in an interview.
“Now we are here, happy with what we are doing, but we are aware that the season is long and no distractions are allowed.”
Napoli have also made progress by handing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia a new contract for his incredible debut season. And they could also look to tie down Victor Osimhen ahead of a ton of interest for a summer transfer.
