Moise Kean rejoins Juventus permanently from Everton

Juventus have made Moise Kean’s loan move from Everton permanent. The attacker rejoined the club on loan in summer 2021, for a fee worth €7 million when Carlo Ancelotti was in charge.

The Italian club have now activated the €28 million buy option, and have signed the 23-year-old permanently. He has signed a contract with them until 2025 on the back of a rather impressive spell this season. He was initially part of their academy before moving to Everton in 2019, and briefly to PSG on a loan spell in 2020.

Kean has mostly been used off the bench by Max Allegri, but he has played for 1090 minutes in 32 games across all competitions. And in that time, he has found the back of the net seven times.

He was in the headlines for the wrong reasons during Juventus’ most recent game, though. Moise Kean was sent off after only 40 seconds on the pitch for a rash challenge on Gianluca Mancini. The two were involved in a tussle, which resulted in Kean kicking out at the defender.

And even though there was little contact, the referee showed him a straight red to leave the Bianconeri with ten men. Roma eventually went on to win the game 1-0 to climb back into the top four.

Juventus, on the other hand, have a long way to go in order to fight back to the top four, considering their 15-point deduction a few weeks ago.
