India Vs Australia : Australia are on the verge of winning their first Test on their tour of India as they need just 76 runs in their second innings to go past India’s overall total in the third Test at Indore. Nathan Lyon was the chief architect of the downfall of the Indian batting lineup in the 2nd innings. India were bundled out for 163 with Cheteshwar Pujara top-scoring with 59 off 142 deliveries. Shreyas Iyer, R Ashwin and Axar Patel played good hands but they were not enough to take the side to a big total.

- Cheteshwar Pujara’s resistance: India’s star batsman Cheteshwar Pujara showed his class once again in the 3rd Test. He scored a brilliant 59 off 142 deliveries, trying to save his team from defeat. However, his efforts were not enough as the rest of the Indian batting lineup struggled against the Australian bowlers.
- Australia’s dominance: Australia have been the better team in the 3rd Test so far. They bowled out India for just 273 runs in the first innings and then took a crucial 88-run lead. In the 2nd innings, they have been able to restrict India to just 163 runs, putting themselves in a position to win the Test on Day 3.
- India’s poor form: India’s batting lineup has been struggling in the 3rd Test. Except for Pujara, none of the other Indian batsmen have been able to play a significant innings. Captain Virat Kohli has been dismissed cheaply in both innings, which has hurt the team’s chances of putting up a big score. India will need to improve their batting performance if they want to win the remaining matches in the series.
Australia are in a dominant position in the 3rd Test and are likely to win the match on Day 3.
