The Samsung Galaxy S23 series flagships are now official, and now that the launch hullabaloo is over, we can go further into some other random details. Samsung has stated that the Samsung Noida factory will produce all Galaxy S23 series smartphones marketed in India.
Galaxy S23 Series Specifications
The Galaxy S23 line’s prices were kept the same as last year, but Samsung boosted the capacity of the Galaxy S23basic + by two times and introduced a 512GB tier to the S23, which now has a starting price of $799 for the 128GB model. Without trade-in incentives, the Galaxy S23 Ultra costs $1,199.99 at carriers. Alternatively, customers can finance it for 36 months at a cost of $33.33.
The biggest hardware upgrade for the Galaxy S23 series is a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor from Samsung. The S23 and S23+ also sport a dual PDAF 12MP Ultrawide camera with macro mode capabilities from the Ultra but keep the 50MP main camera sensors from its predecessors.
Samsung is able to use less gigabytes in its phones since it manufactures its own internal flash storage chips and RAM. The Galaxy S23 series from Samsung finally puts an end to the 128GB starting storage trend, at least for the S23+ and Ultra versions.
The Ultra takes on a more boxy appearance, while the standard S23 and the S23+ lose the camera island plateau on the back and adopt the separate protruding lenses from the Ultra.
Most smartphones marketed in India are already made locally by Samsung, and the Noida facility is the company’s biggest active mobile phone manufacturing facility in the entire globe. To avoid paying exorbitant import fees and tax levies on its phones, Samsung produces all of its Galaxy A and M series phones locally in India.
