Another day and another major streaming issue by Jio Cinema which is the principal streaming partner of the FIFA World Cup 2022. As we head towards the knockout stage, more and more fans have poured in to watch the World Cup, which is a favourite among the growing football fans of India.

Jio Cinema again blamed for bad streaming service for FIFA World Cup 2022

By providing a free streaming service for this World Cup 2022 while Jio wanted to lure in customers to show their superiority in terms of technology and sports rights, however, that didn’t turn out as expected. A lot of Indians have complained regarding the poor service since day one and its evident that Jio never anticipated this much traffic.

People are furious over Jio Cinema again for a bad World Cup streaming experience

From our experience, Jio Cinema struggled more frequently at the start of the World Cup but did became much more stable henceforth. However, a lot of users have complained regarding the multiple ads, inadequate bandwidth which resulted in poor image quality and many of them haven’t been able to watch because of server issues.

Though Jio did try fixing this and to some extent people have embraced the free streaming opportunity by Jio Cinema but today a lot of people have complained on Twitter that they have faced problems during live streaming of the latest Croatia vs Japan Knockout stage match. Many have shown their anger that during the penalty shootout the problem reached its peak and many have actually missed the opportunity to watch it at the first place.

Here are some of the tweets by many fans who took twitter as the medium p

Did #JioCinema actually show ads for 5 mins and skipped the penalty shoot out to 2-1 (Croatia) or was it some bug for me? #FIFAWorldCup

Jio Cinema has ruined this World Cup viewing experience and how. A random add update buffer in the middle of a knockout match?! @JioCinema ugh

— Shruti Sonal (@shrutisonal26) December 5, 2022

Multiple people, including me, only got to see advertisements continuously for 5 long mins instead of a single penalty. @JioCinema WTF!? #JioCinema #FIFAWorldCup #Qatar2022

I couldn't watch the penalty shootout at all due to #JioCinema's insistence that cakes and car ads are better than football.

Japan v/s Croatia
Penalty shootout stage. @JioCinema The app continued to show ads while the penalty shootout took place live. The bitterest of experiences as a fan. A new low for customer experience. Completely ruined it. #JapanvsCroatia #jio #JioCinema #FIFAWorldCup
