Nottingham Forest have completed their 24th signing of the season, with the arrival of Gustavo Scarpa from Palmeiras now confirmed. The attacking midfielder will be officially registered as a new player for the Tricky Trees on January 1st when the transfer window is open for business.
He has agreed a deal with the Premier League club that will run until 2026. The 28-year-old spent four seasons with the Brazilian club, and helped them to their 11th league title while winning the Golden Ball award.
Gustavo Scarpa officially joins Nottingham Forest
“I’m very happy to be here, it’s a dream for me,” Gustavo Scarpa told the club’s official website.
“It’s a new challenge and I can’t wait for it to begin. It’s always been an ambition since I was a little kid to play in Europe, and my dream is to play in the Premier League.
“I’m a technical player but also I’ve developed my game defensively over the past couple of seasons. I’m very dedicated, hard-working and I’m excited to get started now.”
The midfielder will be included in the training camp squad that will travel to Greece to face Atromitos and Olympiacos next week. He will be able to make his Premier League debut only once he is registered.
