N'Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante was one of the most important players in the Chelsea squad as they won the 2021 Champions League. However, his time with the Blues has been plagued by injuries this season.

He only played Chelsea’s game against Tottenham this season before going down with a hamstring injury. And several setbacks mean that he hasn’t been able to feature for the team since.

N’Golo Kante to leave Chelsea?

Chelsea have still no agreement with N’Golo Kanté on new contract — huge chances for French midfielders to leave as free agent in 2023. 🚨🔵 #CFC

Kanté would love to stay, but no deal in place yet — Chelsea are already looking at young midfielders.

The midfielder’s deal expires at the end of the 2022/23 season, and he will be able to walk out as a free agent. Starting from the January transfer window, he will be able to talk to any other club interested in signing him, which include the likes of Barcelona.

The France international has had talks over his contract, but his injury record has prevented the club from offering him his desired financial remuneration. As a result, the general feeling is that he will be leaving at the end of his contract.

However, it should be remembered that N’Golo Kante is very happy in London. Ideally, he would want to continue with Chelsea. But, that will not be possible without reaching an agreement over a new deal. The only way things change now is if Graham Potter decides to keep him.

Otherwise, the West London side will be looking at a younger midfielder to replace him in June 2023.
