Chelsea are monitoring Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for a potential transfer in the summer. The West London club could offload Edouard Mendy as he struggles to earn a place ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga in the first team.
Although the Senegalese has a contract with the club until 2025, he could make the move in order to find guaranteed game time. And since Kepa has been unable to be consistent between the sticks in the past, Pickford could be an option for Graham Potter’s side.
Chelsea eyeing Jordan Pickford transfer in the summer
With the goalkeeper situation yet to be sorted out, the Blues find themselves with two good quality goalkeepers to choose from. While this means that they have immense depth, there is also dissatisfaction over playing time.
The arrival of Jordan Pickford would help sort out matters for the club. However, they would have to let go of at least one of their current options before that.
Chelsea are also reportedly keeping tabs on Anthony Gordon, who they tried to sign this summer. However, their bid to sign the youngster failed with Everton keeping hold of the forward. Next summer, though, the two Everton players could be set for a transfer to the capital.
