The replacement for the Xbox-only Wolverine V2 Chroma, Razer has finally unveiled its newest collection of PlayStation 5 accessories. The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro for PlayStation 5 and PC, albeit it still retains the full-featured LED customization that goes with the Chroma moniker, is what Razer chose to represent as their premium PlayStation rival.
This adaptable controller retains some of the characteristics of previous Wolverine controllers while opening out to fit a full-sized PlayStation 5 touchpad. With a few unique features that you won’t find on a regular DualSense controller, the offset D-pad, analog sticks that match Microsoft’s famous layout, and broader base grips are all still present.
Razer’s first console controller with 2.4Ghz HyperSpeed Wireless connectivity is the Wolverine V2 Pro.
Although the controller has Bluetooth built-in, Razer informed me that it should only be used to pair with the Razer Controller mobile app to adjust the sensitivity clutch, customize the Chroma lighting, and remap the six additional M1-M6 buttons that are located on the top and back paddles of the Wolverine V2 Pro controller. The 2.4Ghz connection to the console itself will still require a USB dongle, though.
The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro is available now directly from Razer.com at an MSRP of USD 249.99 or EUR 299.99.
