I Wanna Dance With Somebody: Naomi Ackie appears in the role of Legendary Singer

Whitney Houston coming with a new biopic titled, ‘ I Wanna Dance With Somebody‘. As you know she is one of the best legendary singers of the time. Behind all of this, there is a strongest and extraordinary celebration of life that’s quite incomparable in Houston. 

The story of the movie provides an intense with those unflinching look towards the woman behind The Voice. The movie is set to take us on the journey of the life of Houston started in New Jersey.  In this film, we are going to witness a journey of a choir girl becoming one of the best-selling and most-awarded recording artists ever. The movie will unveil some moments both inspiring and heartbreaking In Houston all short-lived. We can see some of her iconic works contain her breathtaking rendition of “I Will Always Love You” and, of course, “ I Wanna Dance With Somebody”.

The new trailer starts with those signatures that are the sound of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”, and then set to cuts to Houston played by Naomi Ackie. She has been introduced to the roaring crowd she just looks up and smiles. After that, the trailer has cut to a much quieter setting along with a radio DJ saying,” some people think your music isn’t Black enough.”  

Houston replied with anger, “who said that? That’s just bull. Actually, It’s hateful and uninformed.” she arrives on the list following how she is a Black woman who enters the music industry getting pulled apart and set to made to feel inadequate. There are also critiques while presented with the extraordinary breadth of her career looks flimsy at best, and destructive at worst.

Houston says, “Music is not a color for me,” and continues, “it has no boundaries for me. I sing what I want to sing.” the new trailer completely focuses on her extraordinary career and life that provides us the drama before the heavily anticipated biopic, her father issues, her marriage turbulent, ad her love for her daughter.

The film has been directed by Kasi Lemmons, and the writer is Anthony McCarten. The film has a lot of producers are Pat Houston, Clive Davis, Larry Mestel, Denis O’Sullivan, Jeff Kalligheri, Matt Jackson, Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill, Thad Luckinbill, Matt Salloway, and Christina Papagjika. The movie features   Stanley Tucci, Ashton Sanders, Tamara Tunie, Nafessa Williams, and Clarke Peters. 

I Wanna Dance With Somebody: Release Date 

 The film is set to premiere in theaters on 23rd December 2022.
