More than 30 mobile games are now available on Netflix’s platform. With a few games and VR experiences that have been launched over the years, gaming has already had a tiny role in Netflix’s history.

As it is, Netflix’s gaming model is similar to that of Apple Arcade, where a subscription price grants you unrestricted access to a selection of games (in this case, your Netflix membership). There are no ads or microtransactions in any of the games, and they are all completely free to play.

The deal’s financial details weren’t made public. Spry Fox is currently the sixth in-house game studio for Netflix. According to the blog post by Amir Rahimi, vice president of gaming studios at Netflix, the acquisition will speed up Netflix’s creative growth in yet another well-liked category.
