AMD Ryzen 7 7700 benchmark leaks online

Beginning with the Ryzen 7 7700, the first benchmarks for AMD’s Non-X Ryzen 7000 CPUs have been leaked into the Geekbench 5 database. It was recently claimed that AMD was getting ready to introduce its Non-X Ryzen 7000 CPUs, which would speed up the adoption of the AM5 platform.

The Ryzen 7 7700, which is the non-X sister of the 7700X and has a similar core structure but a different TDP and clock speed, is one of the Non-X chips that have slipped out.

Based on the 5nm Zen 4 core architecture, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700 Non-X CPU has 8 cores and 16 threads. The chip’s base clock speed is 3.8 GHz, which is 700 MHz slower than the 7700X’s, while its boost clock speed is 5.3 GHz (100 MHz slower than the 7700X).

Although the real maximum boost clock is unknown, the benchmarking program stated that the chip was operating at 5.35 GHz. The CPU keeps the same 32 MB L3 and 8 MB L2 cache configuration. The CPU has a 65W TDP as opposed to the X variant’s 105W TDP.

An ASRock X670E Taichi motherboard with DDR5-4800 memory was used to test the CPU. The AMD Ryzen 7 7700 Non-X CPU performed well, earning 20,62 single-core scores and 12,685 multi-core points.

The Non-X CPU performs about 5% slower in single-core testing and about 10% slower in multi-threading tests when compared to the Ryzen 7 7700X. Given the changes in clock speed and TDP, the performance decline is very reasonable.

There is no information on whether these chips will be sold in the retail market in addition to the OEM market or whether their cost will be more than or lower than that of the “X” chips. In the upcoming months, AMD is anticipated to release its Non-X Ryzen 7000 CPUs, including the Ryzen 7 7700, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more about them.
