Premier League has been home to many great players over the years. The likes of Henry, Beckham, Ronaldo etc have plied their trade in England. It is one of the best European leagues and ranks among the top 5 leagues in the world. The Premier League is known for its competitive nature.

The Premier League record for the most assists in a single season was set by Thierry Henry during the 2002/03 season as he provided 20 assists for Arsenal. Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne is currently one of the best midfielders in the game. He is the only one who came close to breaking the record as he equalled Henry’s assist record by providing 20 assists in the 2019/20 season. The duo now hold the record for the most assists together.

A strange fact is that both of the players failed to win the Premier League during the season they made the record for the most assist. In the 2002/03 season, Henry’s Arsenal was beaten by Manchester United and in the 2019/20 season, De Bruyne’s Manchester City fall short of Liverpool.

4. Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea) – 18 assists – 2014/15

4. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) – 18 assists – 2016/17

7. Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal) – 17 assists – 2007/08

8. Eric Cantona (Manchester United) – 16 assists – 1992/93

8. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) – 16 assists – 2017/18

10. Matt Le Tissier (Southampton) – 15 assists – 1994/95

10. Steve McManaman (Liverpool) – 15 assists – 1995/96

Kevin De Bruyne is the only player to feature three times in the list. This clearly shows the quality of the Belgian and how he has helped Manchester City to dominate the Premier League in recent times. And now, with the addition of a proper striker, Erling Haaland, De Bruyne can now dream of breaking his own record by providing more than 20 assists.
