The Clasico and the Champions League final are the two most-watched football games worldwide. Both teams are competing for the top spot in La Liga Santander this Sunday at 16:15 CEST at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

A rivalry that has been going on for more than a century is created when two of the top teams in the world compete against one another in a game that never disappoints. There have been several footballers who have sported the jerseys of both clubs throughout the history of the Clasicos.

He was the first well-known figure to relocate from Barcelona to Madrid. The goalie who is honoured with the La Liga Santander award for best keeper played for Barcelona from 1919 to 1921 and Madrid from 1930 to 1936.

One of the few players in history, Schuster has worn the jerseys of all three of the greatest Spanish teams (Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid). Between 1980 and 1988, the German player wore the Blaugrana shirt, then from 1988 to 1990, during the “Quinta del Buitre,” he wore the white jersey.

The best Romanian footballer in history, in the opinion of many, also wore the jerseys of both teams. After leaving his native Romania, he spent two seasons with Brescia before moving on to Real Madrid from 1990 to 1992. From 1994 to 1996, he spent time with Barcelona.

The goalie jersey of Los Blancos was worn by the former Sevilla and Real Madrid manager. The 1989–1991 season was involved. Following his impressive achievements after being hired by Logrones, Barcelona opted to hire him from 1994 to 1996.

The legendary Yugoslavian footballer of the 1990s moved from Red Star to Real Madrid in 1991 and remained there until 1994. He spent a year on loan with Real Oviedo before being signed by Barcelona in 1995, where he remained until 1997.

The greatest Danish footballer in history joined Johan Cruyff‘s “Dream Team” in 1989 and remained there until 1994. He joined Real Madrid after leaving their enduring rivals, and he remained there from 1994 to 1996.

Real Madrid and Barcelona made their most well-known trade in 2000. From Sporting Lisbon, Luis Figo moved to Barcelona in 1995. He stayed there until 2000 when Florentino Perez broke a transfer record by bringing him to Real Madrid.

The Sporting Gijon youngster played at Real Madrid for five seasons starting in the 1991–1992 campaign. ‘Lucho’ moved from Madrid to Barcelona in the 1996/1997 season, staying there until the 2003/2004 season.

In the 1996–1997 campaign, one of the greatest attackers in history moved from PSV to Barcelona. After a few years at Inter, Florentino Perez acquired his services at Real Madrid, where he remained until the 2006–2007 campaign.

The striker from Cameroon joined Real Madrid as a young footballer. Following a brief stint with Los Blancos, the striker first went on loan to Espanyol before joining Real Mallorca. He was signed by Barcelona in 2004 following his extraordinary growth in Spain, where he lasted until 2009 and had the best season of his career.
