Tech giant Apple‘s fourth-generation iPhone SE will feature a 6.1-inch LCD display and a “notch” cutout at the top of the display.
According to Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young, the device will feature a 6.1-inch display with a notch, reports MacRumors.
Apple iPhone SE 4 may have 6.1-inch screen
Apple iPhone SE 4 will reportedly have a 6.1-inch LCD display and a notch cutout at the top. Apple will launch the next iPhone SE model in 2024 and the device will not miss out on the notch, according to Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young. In the fourth-generation iPhone SE model, the business could keep TouchID, according to certain rumors. According to a claim from MyDrivers and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may give the phone a side TouchID button similar to the iPad Air and iPad mini.
Multiple reports, including information from MyDrivers and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, suggest that Apple is planning to add a Touch ID Side button to the iPhone SE, much like the iPad Air and iPad mini. The size of the fourth-generation iPhone SE notch is not yet known, but it seems plausible that it could be narrower than it was on the iPhone XR if it does not contain components like a dot projector for Face ID because the device features Touch ID.
According to AppleInsider, the tech giant’s expected fourth-generation iPhone SE will effectively be a reworked iPhone XR. The prediction made by leaker Jon Prosser is most likely just a sensible extrapolation of Apple’s prior designs for the iPhone SE, the IANS reported.
The iPhone SE (2022) has an iPhone 8-like design and is powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic SoC. The smartphone sports a 4.7-inch Retina HD display and has a single 12-megapixel camera sensor at the back. For selfies and video chats, it has a 7-megapixel camera sensor at the front. Up to 256GB of storage, IP67 build, and a fingerprint sensor-equipped Touch ID home button for biometric authentication is the other major highlight of the iPhone SE (2022).
Hence, it is likely that the iPhone SE 4 will be utilizing the body of the popular iPhone XR but with updated internals. With the recycled design and an LCD display, Apple can keep the prices down but still retain exceptional performance with a newer SoC inside the device, just like how the tech giant has been doing in previous iPhone SE devices.Â
