Always On Display of iPhone 14 Pro supports Apple TV Remote, Maps, Phone, and more

According to CNBC in their evaluation, the iPhone 14 Pro always-on display includes a clever little trick: it continues to function when you use the phone as your Apple TV Remote.

If you don’t have the physical remote on hand, you can activate the Apple TV Remote on existing phones using Control Center.

On iOS 16, it functions like an app and is found in Control Center rather than a home screen icon. It will even show up in your multitasking app switcher so you can quickly return to it if you switch to browse the web or check social media.

When using the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, this convenience is increased even further. While your phone is technically “asleep,” the Apple TV remote controls operate with the always-on display so that all the controls are still visible (if a little dimmed).

Unusually bright for an always-on mode, the always-on display of this series may become customers’ favorite method of navigating their Apple TV. This will be especially true if you watch TV in the dark at night. The Apple TV Siri Remote doesn’t have any form of backlight, so the buttons on the iPhone remote will be much easier to see.

If you want to experience everything Apple has to offer, get the iPhone 14 Pro or upgraded version. You’ll like the several beneficial upgrades, which range from the cameras to the screen.
