Cristiano Ronaldo has only managed one start for Manchester United in the league this season. And most of his appearances have come from the bench, with the Portugal captain yet to score his first goal.
As a result, his impressive record in front of goal is yet to be continued, with the season fully underway. The Sun has now come out saying that the player does not buy into the vision that Erik Ten Hag has, and does not believe that he is in the Dutchman’s plans this season.
Cristiano Ronaldo could seal Manchester United exit in January according to the Sun
“The manager put a lot of work into giving the squad detailed information about what he wanted them to do and how he wanted them to play. Ronaldo is not up to speed with that and is relying on instinct when he plays. But that doesn’t work in Ten Hag’s system,” sources told the publication.
Considering his position in the team right now, he could be looking at an exit from Manchester United in January, when the transfer window opens. He is also not playing Champions League football, and will be looking to change that soon.
So, it seems that Cristiano Ronaldo will have to get used to life on the bench for the time being before the January window opens.
