Ubisoft and Netflix coming together for the Assassin’s Creed live-action TV show as they had confirmed in 2020. There are more details about the project that got emerged at Ubisoft Forward along with Marc-Alexis Cote of Ubisoft Quebec that has confirmed the series as “still early in development.”
The most interesting fact is Ubisoft Film and Television now generating the series along with Netflix and the showrunner Jeb Stuart. Stuart has written such heart-warming action films Die Hard and The Fugitive and most importantly wrote on Netflix TV show Vikings: Valhalla.
Cote also told, “it’s gonna be an epic, genre-bending such live-action adaptation of our v9ideo game series,” In 2020, when the deal was declared originally VP Peter Friedlander said, “We’re excited to partner with Ubisoft and bring to the rich, multilayered storytelling that Assassin’s Creed is beloved for,” the show has continued, “ From its breathtaking historical worlds and huge global appeal as one of the best-selling video game franchises of the ever, we are committed to carefully verifying epic and thrilling entertainment based on this distinct IP and provide a deeper dive for fans and their members across the world to enjoy.”
Assassin’s Creed from Netflix is not the first time come into Hollywood and has been adapted for the video game. There was a 2016 Assassin’s Creed movie featuring Michael Fassbender and Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Jeremy irons set while the Spanish inquisition, but the efforts gone in as it has faced a critical flop.
