Chennai Super Kings thanked Raina for supporting one of the most popular clubs in Indian Premier League history on Twitter in response to Raina’s move to conclude his career in all forms of cricket.

Over the course of a 13-year international career, Raina participated in 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20Is for India. He also had the privilege of briefly acting as the group’s captain. Raina amassed 1605 runs in 78 T20Is and 5615 runs in 226 ODIs for India.

After being discharged by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Raina, who won the IPL four times with the CSK, was unclaimed in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He participated in the game commentary crew.

Raina scored 5528 runs in 205 IPL games with an average of 32.52 and a strike rate of 136.76, including one century and 39 50s. In the competition, he made 506 fours and 203 sixes while also taking 108 catches.

Following his departure from international cricket, Raina played primarily in the IPL and played very little domestic cricket. Raina has stated that he plans to play in overseas T20 competitions after retiring from all forms of the game.

He also claimed that he has had offers from franchises in the SA20 and UAE’s ILT20. Raina was a part of the 2011 World Cup-winning team led by MS Dhoni. Raina won’t play for Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming domestic season.
