2nd Gen Lenovo Tab P11 Pro and Lenovo Tab P11 launched at IFA 2022

Lenovo is a well-known brand when it comes to tablets and makes the best-selling Android tablets in the world, among them the Lenovo Tab P11 and Tab P11 Pro are massively famous among enthusiasts. Now, at IFA 2022, these new Android tablets have got huge updates in terms of specs and features.

While portability and mobility are key, the other side of this reality is that the hybrid worker and student are spending less time in offices and classrooms, and more time at home. This evolving consumer behaviour has inspired Lenovo’s new personal devices designed for the modern family, including two new additions to its premium Lenovo Tab P11 tablet lineup: the Lenovo Tab P11 (2^ndGen) and the decked-out Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2^ndGen).

“Over the last two years, personal devices became the lifeline of people’s lives, the windows to the world, and often times a safe space to ‘get away’,” said Johnson Jia, Senior Vice President, Intelligent Devices Group’s Global Innovation Center, Lenovo. “Now, as consumers adapt to yet another new reality, their expectations of the technology they rely on are evolving, as well. The new Lenovo Chromebook and tablets we’ve introduced today are built to support people on the go, and importantly – to serve them in new and exciting ways while at home.”

Seizing ‘Me-Time’ – 2nd Gen Lenovo Tab P11 Pro and Lenovo Tab P11

While shared family time is to be cherished, self-care has gotten more important than ever. For many, the need to prioritize one’s own wellness has become paramount, with one study revealing that 80% of respondents intend to be more mindful about practising self-care in the future. Yet, despite best efforts, carving out that elusive “me-time” can be the hardest part of the day.

Research conducted by SWNS’ OnePoll discovered nearly half of adults only feel relaxed for less than 40 minutes per day, many choosing to spend this valuable time to themselves watching a show or movie, listening to music or a podcast, or exercising. No matter how that time is spent, making the most of it is essential – and turning to the new Lenovo Tab P11 (2^nd Gen) or its elevated cousin, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2^nd Gen) can be just what’s needed.

A powerhouse device, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2^nd Gen) with Android™ 12 offers an immersive, multimedia experience. Featuring an 11.2-inch cinematic OLED touchscreen with Dolby Vision® HDR, entertainment will come alive through astonishing brightness, contrast, color, and detail. Adding HDR10+ support, this tablet is an all-access pass to crystal-clear visuals as users stream the night away.

Boasting a 600 nit screen brightness, expansive 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and a dynamic contrast ratio, getting lost in the details of a favourite show or movie will be too easy, as each pixel comes to life. For the casual gamer, 120Hz fast refresh rate and 360Hz touch response speeds take the stress out of on-tablet gaming as ultra-smooth graphics glide across the screen, allowing users to keep up with the action.

No matter how it’s used though, the sounds emanating from the four-speaker system from JBL® and Dolby Atmos® provide spatial audio that connects users more deeply with their favourite content. Offering 120% more power than the previous generation, the LenovoTab P11 Pro (2^nd Gen) features the MediaTek™ Kompanio 1300T octa-core processor and up to 8GB RAM memory.

Combined with its Wi-Fi 6 certification, users will be able to access more content faster, and with up to 14 hours of battery life, they’ll truly be able to maximize their precious time.

When users need to be a bit more productive with their device, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2^nd Gen) makes it easy to make the switch. Included is a ThinkPad-inspired detachable keyboard with a built-in trackpad for efficient on-the-go typing. If writing is preferred, the optional Lenovo Precision Pen 3 can magnetically attach to the device for wireless charging and storage.

This Bluetooth®-enabled pen auto-pairs with the tablet and can be used to remotely control on-screen documents, music, images, and recordings using the customizable button on its side. By simply holding the button while tapping the screen, users can quickly take notes with Lenovo Instant Memo even when the screen is locked, transcribing handwriting to text, allowing them to capture their thoughts the moment creativity strikes.

When users want to treat themselves to a premium experience but don’t necessarily need a workhorse of a tablet, the Lenovo Tab P11 (2^nd Gen) with Android 12L is a solid choice, featuring a four-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, an 11.5-inch LCD display and up to 120Hz refresh rate.

Featuring the MediaTek G99 octa-core processor, this tablet is 50% more powerful than the previous generation with up to 6GB RAM and is Wi-Fi 6E enabled for faster wireless speeds and lower latency, offering a better voice and video experience, faster network speeds and stronger security. Optional accessories to simplify the experience include the keyboard pack, Lenovo Precision Pen 2 (2023), Lenovo Smart Charging Station 2, and Lenovo Folio Case with a built-in kickstand and pen holder (all sold separately).

Both of these new tablets have been designed to filter out harmful blue light, helping to reduce eye strain and safeguard users’ eyes during those streaming marathons. Also available on both is Lenovo’s cross-device collaboration software Lenovo Freestyle, previously known as Project Unity, an app that gives users the ability to seamlessly link their Android tablets to their Lenovo Windows PC, transforming their tablet into either a portable second screen to extend their desktop or a wireless touch screen for their laptop.

Gone are the days when tablets could only be used for certain functions and PCs for others. With Lenovo Freestyle, users can universally control and collaborate across the two easily, using the pen or touchscreen to take notes and even sign documents on their PC without having to switch back and forth between apps.

Speaking of apps, subscriptions to Nebo®, which allows users to write, draw, and diagram freely, as well as MyScript® Calculator 2, an interactive calculation tool that automatically solves written equations, are included with both devices, taking the work out of work.

All of this brilliance is wrapped up in a lightweight, dual-tone modern casing, available in multiple contemporary colors. Both the Lenovo Tab P11 (2^nd Gen) and the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2^nd Gen) will receive at least two major Android OS upgrades, up to Android 14, and three years of security updates from the time of launch.

When outfitting the home with the latest technology, whether users opt for the IdeaPad 5i Chromebook or one of the 2^nd Gen Lenovo Tab P11 tablets, they can protect their device from the unexpected with Lenovo’s advanced support service, Lenovo Premium Care. Providing personalized hardware and software support from expert technicians with fast repairs, this service offers peace of mind, no matter who’s using which device.
