Turkish club Besiktas are set to sign Dele Alli on a loan deal. Everton manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that the player is in advanced negotiations to make the move away.
“He’s very advanced to moving to Besiktas. It’s not absolutely done yet but it’s very advanced,” Lampard said. The midfielder has only made 13 appearances for the Toffees since joining on a free transfer. Spurs had included add-ons in the deal which could see them earn up to £40 million based on his performances. But, things have not gone according to plan for him at Goodison Park.
Dele Alli to join Besiktas soon
Under Mauricio Pochettino, the Englishman was able to establish himself as one of the top players in the Spurs squad. He also made it to the 2019 Champions League final with the club, but eventually lost to Liverpool. Since the dismissal of the Argentinian, things haven’t been the same for him.
Dele Alli fell out of favour with Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte due to his work rate and his attitude in training. And despite a move to Everton, things have not gotten any better for him.
A buy option is included in the deal for the midfielder, but the final value is still a topic for discussion. The medical for the transfer could be completed as soon as the next 24 hours, and the move could be made official shortly after.
