On August 23, Gamescom Opening Night Live will once again begin the yearly European gaming convention. Geoff Keighley, who will emcee the event, has hinted at over 30 world premiere announcements so far.
After two years of online-only live streams, Opening Night Live 2022 will be the first live ONL performance to take place in person since 2019. The official website of the event has tickets available for individuals attending Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.
Starting at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET on August 23, Opening Night Live will be streamed. According to Geoff Keighley’s tweet from above, the live stream will feature “30+ games” throughout a two-hour event. Prior ONLs included announcements during a half-hour pre-show, but a pre-show for 2022 has not yet been confirmed. Opening Night Live will be streamed live in English throughout several nations, but there will also be subtitles available.
