Inter Milan have taken Milan Skriniar off the market, following the latest bid from Paris Saint-Germain to sign the defender. The French side made a bid worth €50 million plus add-ons for the centre-back, which has been rejected.

PSG tried to sign the player throughout the summer, but could not reach an agreement with Inter. Now, club president Steven Zhang has informed the board that he personally wants to see Skriniar stay at the club.

The Slovakian will now discuss a new deal with the Nerazzurri, as he is seen as an essential player of the squad. The new contract will be until 2027, and is in the initial stages of discussion.

Milan Skriniar has been with the club since 2017, and his current deal runs out in 2023. Which is the main reason behind clubs like Chelsea and PSG wanting to sign him this summer.

But despite the interest, Inter have decided to keep hold of his leadership at the back for the next five years. Contract talks will take place soon, as there is no rush at the moment to get things done.

Inter Milan picked up three points in their opening contest of the season, and will be facing Spezia later today as their quest to reclaim the Scudetto continues.
