Manchester United have started their 2022/23 season in the worst possible manner as they lost both their games till now. They are at the bottom of the Premier League table and will now face Liverpool who are also winless till now, having drawn their previous games.
United looked out of depth in their last match against Brentford as they lost by a massive 4-0 scoreline. New manager Erik Ten Hag is now desperately looking to strengthen his squad to revive the fate of the club this season.
The Red Devils have been linked with many stars this season, mainly Barcelona’s De Jong, but the deal didn’t materialise with Barcelona. And, in the end, they are now about to sign Casemiro from their rivals, Real Madrid. According to various reports, the 30-year-old has agreed to personal terms with Manchester United.
Manchester United’s offer to Casemiro
Manchester United have offered a four-year deal to Casemiro with an option for a further season. The offered transfer fee is €60m plus €10m add-ons. They have also offered about double his salary which he is getting at Real Madrid.
Casemiro is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world right now. He has won a record 5 Champions League titles with Real Madrid and has won everything on offer at the club level. The Brazilian has now decided to try something new in the Premier League. So, he is set to join his former Real Madrid teammates Varane and Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
Real Madrid seem to accept the offer as they won’t stand in the way of Casemiro’s wish. The Spanish club have also recently signed Tchouameni, who can replace Casemiro in the middle of the park at the Bernabeu.
Erik Ten Hag will have a strong defensive cover for his defenders and this will allow Bruno and Eriksen to stay up the field more to create chances for their attackers. So signing Casemiro can be a huge turning point for United.
