Intel’s Comet Lake desktop CPUs cannot touch AMD’s dominance shows latest Mindfactory sales

We expected the new Intel Comet Lake-S desktop CPUs to revive Intel’s worst condition ever in the desktop CPU sales. But as brought to attention by @TechEpiphany, the latest Mindfactory sales data shows that in Week 23, AMD totally dominated Intel with 87.25% sales to Intel’s 12.75% only.

If we see the sales numbers then we see AMD Ryzen 3000 CPUs totally dominating Intel ones, and surprisingly, new 10th Gen Intel Comet-Lake CPUs did not make a good impact in the market. Only we see 40 units of Core i5 10600K sold and the Core i7 10700K with 50 units sold only.

Apart from those two, we also see the to-of-the line Core i9 10900X with some meagre sales figure. While for AMD, the Ryzen 5 3600 is still the best seller CPU with 1710 units sold in just a week, with a series of Ryzen CPUs following it. Interestingly, 9th Gen Intel CPUs are more preferred as to the newer 10th Gen ones.

AMD’s 2nd gen Ryzen CPUs have also gained a lot of user interests, because of its fallen prices, the Ryzen 5 2600 saw 700 units of sales. The newer AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3 3300X CPUs have also shown promising sales figures and the APUs with good sales as well.

If overall CPU sales numbers are to be taken in account, a total 5270 units of AMD CPUs were sold, so more Ryzen PCs added into account eventually. On the other hand, Intel managing to power only 770 PCs, this shows how AMD fans still remain loyal to the Red team, who still holds the crown in the price/performance game.
