The Chinese gadget manufacturer Honor has introduced a 5G version of the budget smartphone X8. Back in March of this year, the Honor X8 4G smartphone was launched with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and a quad camera. And now, company has announced a 5G version of the smartphone with different technical characteristics.
Honor X8 5G Specifications
Honor X8 5G has a 6.5-inch display that operates at 1,600 x 720 pixels. By contrast, the X8 4G has a 1080p panel that measures 6.7-inches across. The screen comes with Full HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.
X8 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 480+ chip, which contains eight Kryo 460 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz, an Adreno 619 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X51 5G modem. The amount of RAM is 6 GB, the capacity of the flash drive is 128 GB.
There is a triple rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 lens, along with a depth sensor, and a macro shooter. For selfies and video chats, the Honor X8 5G comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.0 lens.
Honor X8 5G comes with 128GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
X8 5G runs Magic UI 4.2 is based on Android 11 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The Honor X8 5G measures 163.66 x 75.13 x 8.68mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 194.00 grams.
X8 5G price has not been revealed yet. The smartphone comes in a lone 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It is announced in Midnight Black and Ocean Blue colour options.
