Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen are coming for a Malayalam film, ‘19(1)(a)‘. The film launched on the streaming platform Disney Plus Hotstar last Tuesday. The new teaser is a little intriguing as it has left several questions unanswered, mainly about the storyline of the film. You can get some hints from, the title of the film which symbolizes freedom of speech and expression.
In the short clip, we have seen Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen’s characters mainly discussing the topic of writing and fiction, and also how it reflects the daily life that we lead.
19(1)(a) is the debut film of Sethupathi in the Malayalam film industry in the lead role. Earlier, he has seen in the Mollywood film Marconi Mathai.

The trailer reveals Nithiya who is someone running a photocopy shop, getting prepared to start work. She prints a photocopy asking for binding to the customer. Vijay Sethupathi takes entry to lay down from an autorickshaw and is provided a bunch of pages by Vijay Sethupathi who is a writer. He asked for the photocopy of the paper bunches. He will get it after some time. After that, we have seen Vijay Sethupathi smoking and walking through the woods for the job.
Nithiya Menon is reading the paper by sitting beside the pond. The film focused more on writing and thought. We have seen Nithiya Menen who is writing everything that she has seen, heard, and listens to, and also the incidents that happened with her on paper with a pen in her hand. Someone says to Vijay that he is a creative gut and uses his brain. Nithiya says they have only the scooter and a shop, and she is quite uncertain about the future of her shop.
Suddenly, the trailer shows Vijay coming to his home hurry and searching for something urgent, on the other side Nithiya set out for a road that may be dangerous for her. Someone is noting each step of them. On a rainy evening, Vijay calls the police in search of some important thing. The trailer ends with Nithiya waking up from a nightmare.
