Apple has finally released the Public Beta of the new iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 for all its existing iPhone and iPad users respectively. Here in India too, users can quickly download the new software upgrades by the Cupertino giant following very few simple steps.
We will tell you step by step what to do so that you can easily download the new iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 and start using it, so here are the steps you need to follow:
Enrol on the Apple Beta Software Program
This is a simple and most fundamental step to be done from your iPhone or iPad whichever you plan to update, just go to Safari and head over to beta.apple.com. Then read what’s stated on the site, and after that, all you have to do is to enrol on the program by signing in with your Apple ID.
This is a simple step which should be done easily but the important thing to note is to back up your iPhone or iPad before you start the entire process. Apple will not be liable for any data loss during the upgrade so better backup your iPhone or iPad to iCloud so that if something goes wrong you won’t lose data.
Install Public Beta Profile
As soon as you join the public beta profile, you will be asked to download the profile for the new iOS 16 or iPadOS 16, quickly download by allowing you to download the configuration profile.
Verify the configuration profile you downloaded from the Apple site as it will show this to be the iOS 16 & iPadOS 16 Beta Software profile which needs to be installed. As soon as you see something like this, tap on the install button to start installing it.
Give the consent and install the configuration profile, if needed read the terms and clause from Apple.
After simple installation, you will be required to restart your iPad or iPhone after which you will finally see the new iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 update.
Update to the latest iOS 16 and iPadOS 16
The most simple step for the entire update is to head over to Software Update and there you will see the new iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 Public Beta update. Simply tap on Download and Install button, and now, you will see the software gets downloaded, it will take around 15 minutes depending upon the model and the internet speed.
As with any other iOS or iPadOS update you have to plug the device into your charger and let the Apple device do its own update over time.
