An official statement confirming PSG’s signing of Vitinha is expected in the coming hours. The player has arrived at the club’s headquarters to complete his medicals and finalise the transfer. He will be Luis Campos’ first signing as the new sporting director of the club.
The transfer fee agreed is the value of his release clause, which Porto set at €40 million. The contract agreed is valid until 2027, and will not contain any further release clause.
PSG to announce Vitinha in the coming hours
The player’s loan spell at Wolves did not work out, but since returning to Porto, Vitinha has been able to re-establish himself as a key player. He has also been called up to the Portugal national team as a result and has now earned a move to a top European club.
He contributed to nine goals from the heart of the park, and helped his team win the Portuguese league at the end of the 21/22 season. With PSG’s midfield needing some serious upgrades, the arrival of Vitinha will be great news for the team, as they aim to win a debut Champions League.
PSG are also in the race to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan and Renato Sanches from Lille. They are progressing well in talks to sign both players, and are hopeful of wrapping up negotiations very soon.
