All the 32 participating teams, including the hosts Qatar, have confirmed their starting spots for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
While football fans will experience many different things in the upcoming FIFA World Cup, some of these may not be good news for many fans.
FIFA World Cup 2022: One-night stand can result in jail terms for the fans
Qatar has a strict law on a one-night stand or sex outside marriage. According to media reports, if a person is found guilty in the involvement of having sex outside of marriage in Qatar, the person can be punished with up to a one-year term in jail.
However, the non-profit Human Dignity Trust has a different claim about the punishment for a one-night stand in Qatar. The trust has reportedly claimed that the guilty person can face up to seven years in prison for violating this law in the country.
FIFA World Cup 2022: Other issues for the fans
Also, the party culture is very much ban in Qatar. According to some reports, people could face strict and scary consequences if they get caught.
On the other hand, homosexuality is illegal in Qatar. A Daily Mail report suggests that homosexuality can also lead up to seven years in prison.
However, in December 2021, the CEO of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, Nasser Al Khater clarified to CNN that the gay people would also welcome safely to the country just like the other people, and they could freely live in the country just like other people, as long as they act conservatively.
FIFA World Cup 2022: Ticket demand is very high
While the FIFA World Cup 2022 timeline is coming to closure, the fan craze is rising. While 1.2 million tickets for this upcoming tournament have already been purchased, around 800k tickets are yet to be sold online. There are other one million tickets available for FIFA and sponsors.
The organizing committee officials have recently confirmed that they have received around 40 million requests in the two phases of online ticket sales for the upcoming edition of the FIFA World Cup. There are almost three million ticket requests only for the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
