The brand’s first phone is set to be a web3-focused Android smartphone, the rebranded version no longer carries the OSOM tag with it as it is now being launched by Solana Mobile which is a subsidiary of Solana Labs.

Earlier, it was revealed that the company will launch this smartphone in the second half of 2022 but now it has been pushed to the first half of 2023. It is not yet certain as there is no exact timeline for its availability.

Coming to the specifications of the phone, it carries a 6.67″ OLED display and features the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The smartphone has the SMS or Solana Mobile Stack that makes use of security features integrated into the Qualcomm chip. It is a ‘framework for Android allowing developers to create rich mobile experiences for wallets and apps on Solana.’

In the optics department, Sony’s IMX766 50MP sensor will be paired with a 12MP IMX373 ultrawide lens and a 16MP shooter on the front.

Apart from this, it carries basic features such as Bluetooth v5.0 support and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It carries a 4,100mAh battery with wireless charge support. The Solana Saga will retail at around $1,000 or Rs. 78,217 despite the brand claiming it will cost under the $1,000 price point.
