Carlo Ancelotti has hinted at retirement after his current chapter with Real Madrid is over. The Italian manager recently became the first in history to win each and every domestic league title in Europe’s top five leagues. His team are also in the semifinals of the Champions League against Manchester City, and could complete the double this season.
“After this period at Real Madrid it is likely that I will retire. But if Real Madrid want me to be here for another 10 years, I’ll be here for another 10 years,” Ancelotti told Amazon Prime Video.
Carlo Ancelotti’s future depends on Real Madrid
The veteran has declared that his future in management depends on his current run with Real Madrid. He could retire at the end of it, but it is clear that he loves the club and is willing to give it everything he has got.
Ancelotti swapped Everton to return to Real Madrid for a second run. In the first, he helped them to their tenth Champions League title but failed to win the league. He earned the missing piece in his first season back, and is coaching one of the finest squads in Europe once again.
He also didn’t rule out a possible spell in charge of the Canadian national team, who he will be supporting in the World Cup with Italy failing to qualify. Carlo Ancelotti hinted at spending more time with his family and going on holidays upon retirement.
