Disney + Hotstar dropped the trailer of the series ‘ Home Shanti’. In this series, we will see the two middle-class couple who desires to fulfil their long-harboured dream of purchasing a house. They basically want to build their dream home as they are facing several obstacles.
The trailer of the series promises a relatable family drama. This series marks the actor’s first project after the son of Manoj’s Mayank tied the knot along with the daughter of Supriya’s Sanah.
The trailer introduces the Joshi family who finds out that there is nothing more peaceful about building your dream home. It starts with the Joshi family of four travelling in a car. Manoj is a comic Hindi newspaper columnist Umesh Joshi and Supriya is a stoic, school vice-principal Sarla Joshi. They have two kids who also seem to get into a physical battle in one of the scenes.
As Sarla took the decision about the voluntary retirement that also avoid a transfer with her family faced the predicament of building a house following the short notice to vacate their government allocated quarter.
In talking about the project Pahwa said he fell in love with the storyline of the series. He has called it “heartfelt and endearing drama”. The actor who starts to star with Pathak in the 2021 comedy-drama Mimi, said, “Getting back on the sets along with Supriya Ji was like slipping into comfortable waters for me.”
She also said,” The relatability factor of this drama is very high for we all know of families along with the drama of getting a house one day. I had an absolute gala time working on this series, mainly getting to rekindle Manoj and my chemistry had me super excited. At times, the set felt like an extension of a family,”
Aakanksha Dua said,” it is a breezy, uplifting, and humorous drama that will make the viewer fall in love with the Joshis and root for them till the last brick has been laid. I feel incredibly grateful for Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa who also brought their wondrous synergy to the dram. Their on-screen chemistry pulled at my heartstrings and I am sure they will cast the e3xact spell on the audience,”
