The latest rumors suggest that Samsung does not have any intention of shifting its flagship lineup of smartphones away from its proprietary Exynos and Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. If you did not know, the most recent rumors had hinted at Samsung shifting to MediaTek chips.
These Dimensity chips were reportedly featured in the Galaxy S22 FE which is set to launch soon. Korean Media, in addition to this, also added that the next-gen Galaxy S23 Series could shift to MediaTek Dimensity chips. Considering that these are flagship models, the processors would all be a part of the Dimensity 9000 Series.
As per a new tweet from Yogesh Brar, we may not be seeing a MediaTek Dimensity chip in a Samsung device for a while now. In other words, we can still expect Samsung to ship the Galaxy S22 FE or the Galaxy S23 lineup with either the Snapdragon or Exynos chips.
Samsung could still have future plans or could even be rethinking this decision, it is hard to tell if it is entirely out of the picture. However, if it does decide to make the transition, it is likely that it will be replacing the Snapdragon-powered versions for the Dimensity chips instead of discontinuing its proprietary chips.
These are just rumors so take this with a grain of salt for now.
