This year’s Google I/O has been scheduled for May 11-12, it will be the first event of the year hosted by the search giant. As is usual, the company will announce the latest version of Android along with some new hardware.
This year’s I/O conference will be the debut stage for the Pixel 6a as per Jon Prosser while the long-awaited Pixel Watch and Pixel 7 Series will be announced later on in October at a different event.
Prosser details that the Pixel 6a will launch in most markets on the 28th of July. The new leak hints that the Pixel Watch will be teased at Google I/O but it and the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be announced later on in October.
The Pixel 6a is expected to be based on the design of the Pixel 6 Series but with a more compact form factor and a 6.2″ OLED screen. The phone will utilize the same Tensor chip and will have a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 primary sensor with a 12MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide shooter that is integrated into a visor on the rear.
