Meta Platforms INC has recently entered into a partnership deal which will be for three-dimensional ads, these ads will be run on its popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and more.
As per a Reuters report, the new agreement is with an e-commerce technology firm, the social media platforms now will include integration with VNTANA that will allow multiple brands to upload the 3D models of their products to Facebook and Instagram will allow conversion to ads as well.
This news comes as the tech giant is inching closer to the future with Metaverse as per VNTANA CEO Ashley Crowder. We are looking at an integration that is likely to be a staple in the metaverse.
If you did not know, the metaverse is imagined as the collective total of multiple virtual worlds that can be accessed via a device and a headset. For now, Meta has placed its focus on the building of the Metaverse, which will probably take a decade or so to be realized.
The company had previously partnered with AR-based firms such as Modiface and PerfectCorp to aid beauty and cosmetic brands to run their 3D and AR advertising.
Crowder further added that “The Metaverse is basically the spatial internet. It is a whole world of possibility that starts with having the right 3D models of your products.” So now, users of Facebook and Instagram can soon expect to see 3D ads while browsing on their PCs or smartphones. You will be able to likely interact with the image as well while viewing it from different angles as well.
