OFFICIAL: Indian Women’s League 2021-22 season fixtures announced

The 21/22 edition of the Indian Women’s League is set to start from April 15, and will take place in Bhubaneswar. The matches will be held at the Kalinga Stadium, the Seventh Battalion Ground and the Capital Ground.

A total of 12 teams will be competing this year, with matches to be held between April 15 to May 26 in a league format. The winner of the league will receive a direct spot at the AFC Women’s Club Championship next year.

Indian Women’s League schedule announced 

Here are the 12 teams that will be competing for the league title this season: 

  1. Odisha Police (Odisha)
  2. Hans Women FC (Delhi)
  3. Kickstart FC Karnataka (Karnataka)
  4. Gokulam Kerala FC (Kerala)
  5. Sethu Madurai (Tamil Nadu)
  6. PIFA Sports Colaba FC (Maharashtra)
  7. Mata Rukmani FC (Chhattisgarh)
  8. Sirvodem Sports Club (Goa)
  9. Indian Arrows (AIFF’s Developmental Team)
  10. SSB Women FC (West Bengal)
  11. Sports Odisha (Odisha)
  12. IWL Qualifiers winner 

The IWL qualifiers will be played in New Delhi between April 1 to 5, where four teams will be competing for a spot in the league. Guwahati City FC, Golazo FC, ARA FC, and YWC will be the four clubs, competing in a round-robin format. 

The Indian Women’s League propers will be played in a round-robin format as well, with each team playing each other once and the winner being decided by the most number of points accumulated by one team.
