Franck Kessie confirmed to join Barcelona until 2026

Barcelona have reached a total agreement for Franck Kessie to join as a free agent in the summer. The deal has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means that it is as good as done. 

The midfielder will be spending the remainder of the season with his current club, AC Milan. He will make the switch to Camp Nou when his deal with the Rossoneri expires at the end of the season.

The player has completed his medical for the transfer, and will be signing the official contract in the coming weeks. 

Franck Kessie all set to join Barcelona

After months of negotiations, Franck Kessie and Barcelona reached a verbal agreement a few days ago. And after sorting out the final details, the transfer seems to have been confirmed now. 

The Ivorian will be signing a four-year contract with Barcelona. He will receive a salary worth €6.5 million per season during his time at Camp Nou. AC Milan tried to extend his stay at the club, but were unable to reach an agreement with his agent about the commission that would be paid. 

Barcelona now have their first signing of the summer transfer window, with Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta and Ajax’s Noussair Mazraoui set to follow. 

Milan are currently at the top of the Serie A table, and are looking to overthrow their rivals, Inter Milan and win the Scudetto for the first time in many years.
