ASUS has been the pioneer to bring OLED displays to a wide range of its devices including its highly acclaimed Zenbook series or its budget-oriented Vivobooks. It has though launched a lot of them in India, however, they are now launching the last year’s launched Zenbook 14 Flip OLED via Amazon India on 21st March.
This is another Zenbook series laptop that has got an OLED upgrade at the end of 2021, so, it still retains a year old hardware though that doesn’t make these laptops bad though.
In terms of performance, this Zenbook 14 OLED is powered by the 11th Generation Intel Core processors or AMD Ryzen 5000 H-Series processors, these laptops deliver maximum performance with ASUS Intelligent Performance Technology.
This is coupled with up to 16GB of memory and 1TB of SSD storage, however, in the teaser, only AMD variant is mentioned. On the display front, you do get a 14-inch 2.8K OLED 90Hz display, the same display seen on the Vivobook Pro 14X OLED we reviewed earlier.
The display also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and comes with a 0.2ms response time, Asus even claims it will emit “70% less harmful blue light than normal LCD”.
In terms of ports, we have a Thunderbolt 4 (for the Intel model), HDMI 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and a MicroSD reader. I like the fact that ASUS has gone for the more powerful 45W based SKUs so that you get the performance when needed, essential for creators and professionals.
If you liked the Zenbook 14X, this laptop is the same one but in a 2-in-1 form factor. This new Asus Zenbook 14 Flip OLED gives you a touch display that supports a “4096-pressure-level stylus” and a precision-engineered 180° ErgoLift hinge.
If you are really interested to get this laptop, stay tuned at 12PM on 21st March. Here’s the teaser page: https://amzn.to/3MY5QyJ
