The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is expected to be one of the two upcoming Nord devices, the other device is likely the Nord 2T. Now, courtesy of 91Mobiles, we have access to the early renders of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite.
From these renders, we can get a fair idea of what we can expect from the device, the final product will look slightly different, the Nord CE 2 Lite renders give away some of its specs about the fingerprint sensor placement, rear panel finish, the camera setup, and a SIM tray.
Starting with the rear panel of the Nord CE 2 Lite, it has a glossy plastic rear panel with curved sides, much different from the sandstone finish on the Nord 2T. The curved panel meets the frame and flattens out.
The curved sides and flat metal frame look to provide a comfortable yet premium in-hand feel. The rear panel features a rectangular camera module with two large camera sensors, a smaller third sensor, and an LED flash.
Going to the frame of the device, there are a lot of elements such as the side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the right. On the left, there are volume controls and a hybrid SIM slot. The Lite model could get a hybrid SIM tray rather than a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the bottom of the device, there is a USB Type-C port with a speaker grille and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Nord CE 2 Lite does not have the Alert Slider feature.
That is all for now, we do not know more about the Nord CE 2 Lite, it is in accordance with the renders that were posted online last month, the device will have a punch-hole camera on the top-left corner of the display.
The Nord CE 2 Lite will be the first Nord device with Android 12 out-of-the-box. In the optics department, it will have a high-resolution primary camera with two, 2MP sensors. There will not be an ultra-wide camera sensor.
The Nord CE 2 Lite as per previous reports features a 6.58″FHD+ display with support for a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chip paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
We can expect to see a 64MP OmniVision primary sensor with a 2MP macro shooter and a 2MP mono lens. On the front, it could have a 16MP sensor. The device is rumored to have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is a slightly inferior version of the Nord CE 2. The Nord CE 2 had launched in India with a price of 23,999 INR and the Lite version could be priced under 20,000 INR.
