Kylian Mbappe was one of the stars of the Round of 16 fixture between PSG and Real Madrid in the Champions League. The Frenchman was set to be the difference-maker before Karim Benzema netted a hat-trick to drag his side to the quarter-finals.
And according to Marca, it is the two days that have made all the difference for the striker. He is set to join Real Madrid in the summer, as was heavily rumored beforehand.
Kylian Mbappe’s decision might be made
Despite having an attack that boasts of Lionel Messi and Neymar on either flank, 23-year-old Kylian Mbappe has established himself as the main man in PSG’s attack.
He scored both the goals for the French giants in the Round of 16 encounters against Real Madrid and was also the brightest man on the pitch. But, things ultimately did not turn out in the favour of his team.
Real Madrid made a €200 million offer for the striker this summer, but it was rejected by Nasser Al-Khelaifi in hopes of renewing Kylian Mbappe’s contract. But despite only a few months remaining in the season, the situation has still not changed.
Carlo Ancelotti and Luka Modric were both smiling when asked about Kylian Mbappe’s arrival at Real Madrid in the summer. But, they didn’t confirm anything. And given Mbappe’s dreams of wearing the white jersey, it seems only a matter of time before he joins the Spanish giants as a free agent.
