From giving away a chunk of shares to Intel in the last couple of months as 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs have risen to the occasion, AMD never did expect Intel to come back so strong. This is a result of why Intel has again gained back the momentum in the market share from the Red team despite having a dry run over the last 2 years.
So, while AMD is gearing up for a big launch of its 5nm based Zen 4 Ryzen CPUs, Intel is also preparing its 13th Gen Raptor Lake by the end of this year. Interestingly, Intel has totally been aggressive in the budget CPU market launching a lot of options with Core i3s and Core i5s, however, AMD’s budget lineup has been weak.
To strengthen its Ryzen 5000 series lineup, AMD is said to launch four new AMD CPUs including two 6-core Ryzen 5000 SKUs: Ryzen 5 5500 and Ryzen 5 5600 as per MEGAsizeGPU. Both will act as a replacement to reduce the strain put by the Core i3-12100 and the Core i5-12400 respectively, as these Intel SKUs have become popular among fans.
Also, AMD will finally launch a new Ryzen 7 5700X after burying them or say delaying it till now to compete against the Core i5-12600KF. As a replacement to the existing Ryzen 7 5800X, AMD will bring the already announced Ryzen 7 5800X3D that uses new 3D V-cache chip stacking technology jointly developed by AMD and TSMC.
It basically features a total of 96MB of L3 Cache that makes real difference in games according to AMD. Also, this will be the last batch of Zen 3 based products launched by AMD that supports AM4 socket before it brings new AM5 socket in later half of 2022 alongside Ryzen 7000 “Raphael” processors.
