Jamshedpur FC defeated Hyderabad FC 3-0 to climb up to the top of the ISL league table. Here are the three key talking points from their dominant win.
Alex Lima aces the game
The midfielder was involved in all three goals that Jamshedpur FC scored during the game. It was his corner that ended up in the back of the net as an own goal, and he then supplied captain Peter Hartley with an assist from another corner.
In the second half, he provided Daniel Chukwu with the assist, pouncing after a miss-kick from Khassa Camara. Lima made it to the starting line-up after Greg Stewart was not included in the squad, and he made the most of the opportunity with a remarkable display. As a result, he was named the Hero of the Match as well.
Ogbeche absence proves costly for Hyderabad FC
The Nizams were without their best player, Bartholomew Ogbeche, who is also the top scorer in the ISL this season. And despite their opponents going a man down in the second half, they were unable to capitalise and get a goal back.
The best chance for them came in the 90th minute, through Javier Siverio. But, he was unable to make anything of it, and Hyderabad might have bottled their league title ambitions with the costly defeat against Jamshedpur FC.
Jamshedpur FC make history
The Men of Steel have qualified for the semi-finals for the first time in their history. And having won their last five games in the league, they are the favourites to go ahead and win the title when 20 games are up.
