The Germany international scored the winning goal for Chelsea’s Champions League win, as well as their Club World Cup win, etching himself into Chelsea history forever. On the other hand, Thiago Silva was named the player of the competition. And finally, Cesar Azpilicueta becomes the first and only Chelsea player to have won every single trophy available, establishing himself as a club icon for years to come.

With their win against the South American champions, the London club have now won every trophy available to a club. Only Ajax, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Juventus have achieved this feat.
The whole set includes all domestic cups, the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and the Champions League trophies at least once. On the other hand, they join Manchester United and Liverpool as the only two English clubs to have won the Club World Cup after the Champions League.

Chelsea’s European, and now, global trophy arc has been completed by the German. In a little over one year since joining the Blues, the coach has guided the team to three major trophies. And by the end of the month, they might have another, with the EFL Cup final set against Liverpool.
