Donny van de Beek has agreed a loan move to Everton until the end of the season. He will be completing his medical for the transfer soon, and will be announced as a new signing in the coming hours.
The move is a straight loan deal with no buy option included for the player. He will be on loan at Goodison Park until the end of the ongoing season, and will then return to Manchester United since they see him as a part of their team for the 22/23 season.
Donny van de Beek finally earns move away
The loan deal that Everton have struck will benefit all the parties involved. Donny van de Beek had been dropped from the Netherlands national team after not being selected for the club for weeks.
With his move to Everton, he has a chance of earning regular minutes which can help put him back in contention for a spot in the Netherlands squad for the 2022 World Cup.
A phone call from Frank Lampard, who is set to be the new Everton manager, was key to Donny van de Beek making up his mind. Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace were also rumoured to be in the race, but the Toffees have won the race for his signature. They made quick work of the deal, having only joined in the race yesterday.
They will cover 100% of his salary until the end of the season and will also pay a loan fee to Manchester United.
