After the popular series How I Met Your Mother was appreciated a lot by the audience, its sequel How I Met Your Father is all set to take make its mark onscreen. The super-hit show got aired from 2005 to 2014. The new series is created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger and the new series features Hilary Duff in the lead role. The series is also using a framing device similar to the first series in which the protagonist made his kids show how he met their mother.
Executive producers of the show include Aptaker, Berger, Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, Pam Fryman, and Adam Londy. Duff will serve as a producer. The show is a production of 20th Television.

Plot
In the near future, Sophie (Hilary Duff) is telling her son the story of how she met his father. The story takes them back in 2021 where Sophie and her group of friends were figuring out life and exploring the possibilities of life. How to actually fall in love in the age of dating apps where one can have unlimited options.
Audience reaction
The trailer didn’t make the fans happy and confident about the new series. It got criticised for taking away the light from the popular original series that is on-trend. Others have given a positive review and are eagerly waiting for the series.
